GREEN HILLS - WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment day was celebrated on July 5th in the campus. The world’s mega event was started with the awareness focused on “Beat Plastic Pollution”. Club members along with  Fr. John Alex, the Rector, Fr. Sagayaraj ,Fr. Alex Thomas and all the Heads from the respective Departments  gathered near Fr. Guezuo Chapel in order to inaugurate the mega planting saplings event. Mr. John Vincent introduced the World Environment day and delivered key note address. Fr. John Alex blessed the saplings and initiated the event by planting the first sapling. It was followed by Fr.Sagayaraj and Dr. Rajendren, deputy Principal. All the heads from each department planted a sapling in order to kindle interest among the  students. The entire group carried out  three different services. First Group continued plantation throughout the campus. The second group committed themselves in cleaning and uprooting the weeds. The third group pruned  teakwood garden. The Co Animator of the club thanked all the club members for their valuable service. At the end, action members of the club took an oath to save the planted saplings and will continue their service for the mother world.
