Prof. Dr. Francis-Vincent Anthony SDB, from Salesian Pontifical University, Rome, was invited as the chief speaker for this session. Briefing about the importance of leadership skills in the present academic scenario, he did an inclusive presentation about different leadership styles and trends. After expounding on Transactional and Transformational leadership, he insisted on the significance of being a transformational leader in the educational setup. He emphasized on the following key issues like how an educator should not wait for failure to happen; should give inspiration and motivation and stimulate intellectual activity among the students by questioning their own assumptions; and the most important quality of being trustworthy. Towards the end of the session, he gave his review on the consolidated response of the faculty for the questionnaire (given prior to the session).
