Empowering the rural youth with qualitative knowledge, practice and experience to become integrated persons for career and life. In pursuit of this, Don Bosco College offers programmes and services of best-in-class standards.
The Don Bosco community envisioned quality professional education in computing as a realistic strategy to guarantee the employability of rural youth. It began with BICS InfoTech in 1998, founded with the financial support of Fr. Francis Guezou to provide professional computer education.
In 2012, BICS InfoTech transformed into Don Bosco College, affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University. Over the years, the college expanded its offerings including B.Sc. Computer Science, B.C.A., B.Com (CA), B.B.A., and more. In 2024, the college was Accredited by NAAC (Cycle-I) with an 'A' Grade (CGPA 3.03).
Fr. Francis Guezou, a French Salesian missionary, arrived at Yelagiri Hills in 1962. He was the primary force behind promoting education for the poor, tribal, and rural youth. His legacy lives on through the institutions he helped establish, including Don Bosco College.
