Inauguration of the Youth Clubs & Association of the Departments

Inauguration of the Youth Clubs and Association of the Departments was loaded with plans and strategies of lines of activities of academic year 2019-20. Mrs. Vanisree, Co-ordinator of the Youth Clubs gave welcome address while Rev.Fr. Kasi Sagayaraj felicitated the chief guests with mementos. Rev.Fr. Thaddeus exhorted the students to involve actively in the extra-curricular activities thus to implement classroom learning and he emphasised the importance the clubs and Associations immeasurable impacts in shaping once personality apart from learning besides he also stressed that its responsibility of each student to serve the society while learning.  The Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Alexander Thames, Rector and Parish priest of Veeralur, gave mesmerising message. Father inspired the students to grow day by day, be motivated and dedicate themselves to learning. They should enjoy their learning and consistently practice. Students should involve in collaborative learning. He wished the students to be focused and contribute to the new academic year. Then our guest of honour Rev. Fr. Jesumanikam, Administrator, Don Bosco School, Tirupattur stressed reading habit. He disseminated an idea of”today reader tomorrow leader”.    Dr. Rajderan, Deputy Principal of our college read the rules and regulations of some of the university affairs and scholarship details. This program saw an historical event of publishing a book of Ms. Periyanayaki-3rd year BCA titled Yaruku Illai Anbu. Then all the six UG departments’ secretaries presented the lines of actions followed by first 12 youth clubs presidents explicated the annual plans of their clubs, subsequently under the leadership of Dr. Kumar, HoD, Department of Tamil has broken the monotones of the program through a drama with a message “learner-centred teaching helps students to participate more in the teaching and learning in classroom.” Subsequently remaining Youth Clubs secretaries’ presented their plans. Lastly Ms. Cynthia-2nd MA-English proposed the Vote of thanks. The program got over with College anthem sang by DB music.
