On June 5, 2025, the Green Hills Youth Club organized a special session to commemorate World Environment Day during the Faculty Orientation Program at Don Bosco College. The program began with an introduction that underscored the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness and creating a pollution-free world. The faculty members of Don Bosco College showed great interest and actively participated in the event.

They were guided on ways to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices within their workplace. The session also highlighted the significant role of herbal plants in speech development, emphasizing how growing them at home can contribute to a healthier

environment and lifestyle. Fr. Arockia Berdoil Raj SDB elaborated on strategies to sustain a green environment and emphasized the importance of protecting it. Following this, Ms. Sneha Priya (Animator) led a pledge to uphold environmental conservation efforts, while Mr. Jayabalan (Co-Animator) arranged a tree-planting activity at the Amphitheatre on the campus as a symbolic commitment to a greener future. Dr. L. Ravi, Principal along with all the newly joined faculty members have planted a tree in the Amphitheater/Assembly Circle place of the campus. The session concluded with a call to action for everyone to ensure that the environment around them remains clean and green, reinforcing the collective responsibility to protect our natural surroundings.
