Placement

1. Purpose

To educate, train, and guide students on the dynamics of corporate life, career, and life-long learning.

2. Scope

Applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate level students across all disciplines.

3. Policies & Procedures

I. Career Guidance & Placement Cell

a. Policy

  • The placement-related activities at the college are carried out by the CGPC.
  • The CGPC acts as a link between academia and the industry, sharing student capabilities with companies and company details with students.
  • The CGPC is responsible for training and educating students about placement-related activities.

II. Campus Recruitment Drive

a. Policy

  • Only students without arrears are eligible for placement.
  • Once a student is shortlisted by a company, they cannot attend other interviews.
  • The CGPC invites organizations in January, and the Campus Recruitment Drive is held in February.

b. Placement Rules

  • Students provide their Next Preferred Choice of Career (NPCC) in August-September.
  • Placement processes begin in September.
  • Students prepare CVs highlighting their achievements under faculty guidance.

c. Pre-placement Talks (PPT)

  • Notices for PPTs are displayed on notice boards.
  • Attendance is mandatory for registered students to proceed with the recruitment process.
  • Students should clarify job details during the PPT sessions.

d. Placement Process

  • Students must check announcements and notices regularly.
  • The placement team invites companies of various sizes to ensure opportunities for all students.

e. Attendance & Punctuality

  • Shortlisted students must complete the entire selection process unless rejected.
  • Latecomers may not be allowed to appear for interviews.

f. Discipline

  • Students must maintain discipline and ethical behavior during the placement process.
  • Violations of discipline rules or cheating will result in disqualification from placement for the academic year.

g. Job Offers

  • If a student receives multiple offers, they must accept the earliest declared offer.
  • Students must inform the placement office about any direct offers received from companies.

h. Offer of Job

  • Students must collect offers as per the notice timings and take appropriate actions.
