The Inauguration of Youth Clubs, Movements, and Associations at Don Bosco College (Co-Ed), Yelagiri Hills was held on 30th June 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event, conducted from 2:10 PM to 4:00 PM in the college auditorium, marked the formal launch of various student-led bodies that aim to foster holistic development, leadership, and active citizenship among the students.

The program commenced with a Bible reading by the Newman Club, followed by a melodious prayer song by the College Choir, invoking God’s blessings on the occasion.

The Vice Principal (Academics) delivered the Welcome Address, emphasizing the importance of youth engagement and how such platforms empower students to grow in confidence, responsibility, and creativity.

After a brief felicitation ceremony, Mr. Sarathkumar introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Sujoy, the Owner of Selfie Panda, who delivered an inspiring address. In his speech, Mr. Sujoy encouraged students to take ownership of their talents and contribute meaningfully to society through active participation in college clubs and associations.

One of the highlights of the program was the introduction and presentation of 14 Youth Clubs and Movements, including NSS, NCC, RRC, Youth Red Cross, Green Hills Club, Blue Cross Club, and many others. Each club and movement clearly articulated their vision, mission, objectives, and the range of activities planned for the academic year 2025–2026. These presentations reflected the students’ enthusiasm and commitment to serve the campus and the wider community through various awareness programs, outreach initiatives, skill development sessions, and sustainability efforts.

Adding a vibrant touch to the celebration, DB Music performed a lively and motivational song that energized the audience.

This was followed by the introduction of 7 Academic Associations by the respective Heads of Departments. Each association elaborated on how it would support subject enrichment, academic competitions, industrial visits, workshops, and research-based learning throughout the year.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Campus Minister, acknowledging the efforts of all coordinators, students, and staff involved in organizing the program. The gathering stood united as the College Choir led the College Anthem, bringing the program to a close with a sense of pride and solidarity.

The inauguration successfully laid the foundation for a vibrant academic year filled with purposeful engagement, leadership development, and meaningful service.
