SELF DRIVEN

People get used to life of dependency. Early in life we depend in our parents and later as we grow, on our elders and on the institutions. We find it difficult to move out of such an attitude of dependency. We need to move towards self-driven attitude.

GREENER

Yelagiri Hills is becoming polluted due to the onslaught of tourists. There are more than 60 restaurants, lodges and hotels on this hill-station. There is water scarcity. When we walk on the side roads, we see so much of plastic thrown around.

In a situation of fear hardly an individual grows to be a mature human being. Persons need an ambient that is trust-filled where they can express their views freely and get the assistance for the personal problems from their elders.

Trust-filled : by evoking confidence and freedom to express grievances…
Group Activities : by a sincere participation in group activities…
Sense of Respect : by respecting people and upholding human dignity…
Sense of Fellowship : by fostering in us a sense of fraternity and equality…

SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS

We are social beings. In a world rampant with individualism, we have to inculcate in us a sense of responsibility towards each other. Our actions mutually influence each other. We need to be conscious of this social responsibility.

Socially Conscious : by encouraging reach-out programs and social action…
Gender-Sensitivity : by having respect for all, especially women in the campus…
